What is Maxi Yatzy?
Maxi Yatzy is the six-dice, Scandinavian sibling of the dice game you might already know as Yatzy — same core idea, more room to play with. Instead of five dice you roll six, and instead of fifteen boxes on your scoresheet you've got twenty, which means a handful of combinations classic Yatzy never had: three pairs, a full straight through all six numbers, a villa of two matching triples, a tower built from four of a kind plus a pair, and five of a kind.
Every round works the same simple way: roll the dice up to three times, holding whichever ones you want to keep between rolls, then lock in a score for one open box. Do that until every box is filled and add up the total — whoever scores highest wins. The extra dice and extra boxes mean more decisions, more room for a big turn to swing the game, and, if you're chasing the upper-section bonus, a real reason to keep an eye on your ones through sixes and not just chase the flashy combinations.
